ANGELES CITY -- First District Representative Joseller "Yeng" Guiao said over the weekend that he will not give up professional basketball coaching despite the series of fines he was meted recently by the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Guiao was fined P50,000 in the championship series of the Rain or Shine and San Mig Coffee recently. The Elasto Painters were slapped with a P2-million penalty by PBA Commissioner Chito Salud, "for subverting public interest and the integrity of the game" during a partial walk out in the second quarter.
Guiao was earlier also fined P100,000 for pointing a "dirty finger" at game officials.
Guiao noted that even in politics, his experiences may be compared with what is happening in his career as a coach.
