CLARK FREEPORT -- South Korea’s Donggwang Construction Co. Ltd. launched last Saturday its newest golf and country club.
Levy Laus, chairman and CEO of Laus Group of Companies, joined Chairman Lee Shin Kun in the ribbon cutting ceremony.
Located at an average altitude of around 320 to 370 meters, Clark Sun Valley Country Club commands one of the best views of Clark Freeport Zone, and has various holes that give golfers the best golfing environment and “shot value.”
It is composed of 36 holes- 18 holes for public and 18 holes for private.
Lee said it’s going to be “one of the biggest multi-resorts in Southeast Asia.” They are hoping that it will create more jobs for Filipinos, especially Kapampangans.
The Sun Valley Group owns and operates six golf courses -- four in Korea and two in Japan.
Only five kilometers away from the Clark International Airport, the country club provides comfort of an elevated area overlooking downtown Clark and Mt. Arayat National Park.
“Korea and Philippines are sister or brother countries. And because of the proximity, it is so close where lots of tourists from Korea can come to Clark easily” said Lee.
“Aside from the 36-hole golf courses, we will also have Villas with Pool, Hotel and Casino, Waterpark and Brent International School inside the country club. It will really create jobs for Filipinos. And we are hoping that this whole project will end on 2016,” added Lee.
Clark Development Corporation (CDC) president Arthur Tugade expressed his support to the newly opened country club.
“Napakagandang development ito. Aakit ng turismo, oportunidad para sa mga turista at mga Cabalen. Tinuturing natin ito bilang investment paradise. At hindi lang pang-koreans ang lugar na ito, para na rin sa ating mga kababayan at iba pang nasyunalidad,” said Tugade.
The leisure park is located at T-304 Jose Abad Santos Avenue inside the Freeport. For inquiries call (+63) 45-499-2165, 5103, 2166 )fax), 070-7436-5318, 5538 (Internetphone) or visit their homepage www.clarksunvalley.co.kr
