Clark exports reach US$3.8B in 2013-A A +A

CLARK FREEPORT — The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) has bared that locators inside this Freeport posted a $3.831 billion export volume in 2013.
This was gleaned in the comparative cumulative summary of Export Documentation (e-ED) performance submitted to CDC President Arthur P. Tugade.
In 2012, the export volume has $3.619 billion lesser by more than $212 million last year.
In the ERD report, Phoenix Semiconductor Philippines Corporation (PSPC) topped other firms with more than $1.929 billion in 2013. Its import volume reached $1.585 billion in the same year.
The South Korean semiconductor firm has been the consistent as top exporter in Clark for the past two years, the ERD record shows.
PSPC has about 50 percent of the total export volume in this Freeport.
Nanox Phils. Inc. ranks second among exporters with over $973.51 million or 25 percent of the total export volume in 2013.
The Japanese-owned firm was also the second top importer with $518.98 million in the last year’s report.
Third in the list is Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc. (YTPI) with an export worth $225.3 million or six percent of the total exports compared to its approved importation volume of over $168.8 million.
Other companies with high exports volume in 2013 include HLD Clark Steel Pipe Co. Inc. with $149 million and $93.4 million worth of importation; Lhuen Thai Philippines (LNT) with more than $124.17 million exports volume and $63.32 million importation.
The steel firm is followed by SMK Electronics (Phils) Corporation with $113.56 million exports and $36 million importation.
Amertron Inc. posted $66.16 million and importation of $91.4 million; SIA Engineering (Philippines) Corporation $18.58 export volume and importation of $72.98 million importation.
