CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Corporate Guarantee and Insurance Company (CGIC) and Maxicare recently signed a memorandum of agreement to bring the healthcare provider’s products and services to the countryside.

CGIC is among the top 20 firms in terms of premiums earned, and is only one of five such firms, which are ISO-certified and is the only non-life insurance company in Luzon whose headquarters is outside Metro Manila.

Maxicare Healthcare Corporation, meanwhile, is one of the pioneers in the health maintenance organization (HMO) industry, which was established in 1987 by an esteemed group of doctors and businessmen with the vision to deliver a better healthcare system.

More than 25 years later, Maxicare has progressed into becoming the leading HMO in the country providing comprehensive healthcare programs via its wide network of medical providers and strengthened customer support.

Laus Group of Companies Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Levy Laus said that CGIC’s partnership with Maxicare would redound to more benefits for people in the countryside who could avail of its products and services.

“This is like a marriage where you choose the right partner. For many years in this partnership trust and confidence has always been there and now, this synergy with CGIC will definitely redound to the peace of mind of our customers as they will find value in Maxicare's products and services,” he said.

Maxicare president and CEO Jose Pastor Puno, for his part, added that the excellent services extended by the Laus Group of Companies will be emulated by the HMO.

“Just like the Laus Group and CGIC which value commitment, Maxicare will emulate that by providing the right service all the time as our people will be ready to serve your clients. For us at Maxicare, failure is not an option. We are very proud and happy about this partnership,” he said. (JTD)
