TARLAC CITY -- The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Tarlac (PCCI-Tarlac), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Tarlac, recently launched the Asenso sa Negosyo, an advocacy promoting entrepreneurship to Tarlaqueños.

As the ribbon was cut during the opening ceremony of the Asenso sa Negosyo Tarlac, so symbolically the "red tape" of bureaucracy in venturing into business in Tarlac was also cut.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was done right at the Bulwagan ng mga Gobernador ng Tarlac to dramatize that there are no more "obstacle courses" to hurdle when doing business at the Capitol especially to those who want to start a business.

"We launched Asenso sa Negosyo Tarlac (ANT) in 2011. A business conference, trade exhibit of different products that can be seen in Tarlac whether small or big and franchise expo rolled into one," Deogracias Baron said.

Now on its fourth year, ANT will train its sights on entrepreneurs who made it big and invited them to share their success stories with the end of motivating and encouraging the participants who jampacked the Bulwagan ng mga Gobernador.

Speakers included Prudencio "Prudz" Garcia, president of the Mekeni's Food Corporation, the internationally acclaimed meat processing company in the Philippines; Paulo Tibig, also known as "The Entrep Champ," founder, president and CEO of V Congo; Angelica Hizon of Pampanga's Best, a multi-million meat processing company; Jeffrey Lim, owner of the JSJ Goat farm producing goat's milk, goat cheese and goat candies; and Dr. Joel Amante, president of Philippine TQM (Total Quality Management) Foundation.

(Homer Teodoro)
