CLARK FREEPORT -- The Eagle Sky Corporation is set to establish a five-star hotel and casino worth P2 billion inside the Freeport.

Dr. Ireneo “Bong” Alvaro, president of Eagle Sky Corporation, said the two-building, six-storey Hotel Midori with 120 rooms was designed by Taiwanese architects from Harvard University.

“It is a state-of-the-art hotel made up of glasses,” Alvaro said.

Yesterday, Clark Development Corporation president Arturo Tugade joined on Thursday Alvaro and his Taiwanese partners including Tony Huang and Jack Yang; Mayors Ed Pamintuan of Angeles City and Marino Morales of Mabalacat City; during a ground-breaking ceremonies.

Tugade vowed to support the project, saying Midori -- which means green in Japanese -- is close to environment.

The new hotel will add beauty and landscape to the Freeport, according to Tugade.

Eagle Sky officials said they transferred from an old site at the Clark Aviation Complex to a new location near the Fontana Leisure Estate.
