Wack Wack golf club suspends Roxas for 2 months-A A +A

WACK Wack Golf and Country Club (WWGCC) has suspended Interior and Local Government Secretary Manuel Roxas II for two months for violating the club rules and regulations, a WWGCC official said Friday.
In a statement, WWGCC general manager Francisco Legarda said the upscale club's board of directors voted to suspend Roxas for two months, starting April 25, for not being able to comply with WWGCC's house rules and policies for the orderliness in the facility.
Of the 10 Board members, five voted to suspend Roxas for two months, one voted to simply reprimand him, three abstained; and one member was absent.
On April 6, Roxas reportedly humiliated and shouted at the club's employees after they asked him to follow house rules and pay the green fee of a golf pro Rey Pagunsan who was teaching his guest at that time.
The employees felt Roxas violated club rules on the protection of workers and later on filed a complaint with the Wack Wack membership committee.
Roxas was not available for comment as of posting Friday. (Sunnex)
