2014: Year of the Wooden Horse-A A +A
Wednesday, December 25, 2013
MANILA (Updated) -- A week before the world bids 2013 goodbye, a feng shui consultant shared her predictions for the coming year of the Wooden Horse.
Jean Sy, a feng shui consultant in Binondo, Manila, said in an interview with Sun.Star that 2014 will be a good year of money (wealth) and success for those who were born in the year of the Horse, Rat, Rabbit and Rooster based on the Chinese Zodiac Calendar. However, Sy said people born under these signs will have to be conscious about their health condition and relationships.
For those born in the year of the Tiger, Boar, Dragon, Snake and Dog, Sy said that 2014 will not be smooth sailing since there is a "negative star," a symbol for obstacles and hardships. Their wealth status will be unstable and they also have to be conscious of their health.
However, for those born under the year of the Monkey, Sheep and Ox, 2014 will be a year of ups and downs. In career, individuals who were born under these signs should be speculative, as unexpected but positive things will come. There will be hardships but it will be easier for them to surpass these since they have a "helping star" that will help them survive.
Sy added that the lucky colors for 2014 are blue and yellow, which represent water and earth, respectively. These colors will balance the year of the Wooden Horse.
“Sa 2014 kasi, ang present lang na elements are the metal, fire and wood and the absence of the water and earth will make it imbalance,” she said.
Blue will enhance the water element, good relationship and communication, while yellow will balance the money, wealth and success.
In politics, Sy said that good leaders will be those born in the year of the Pig, Rabbit and Sheep, since they are born leaders and known to have diplomatic skills.
Sy said that in terms of disasters, there will be more fire, earthquakes and drought and less storms during the year of the Wooden Horse.
Charms for good luck
She also said that 2014 will be a year of competition, jealousy, insecurity, back stabbing and bad intentions but there will still be happiness and good relationships.
A horse, according to Sy, symbolizes power, stability, urgency, perseverance, independence, stubbornness, narrow mindedness and hostility.
She recommended a Blue Cicada pendant, which is a cricket-like charm to help drag negativities away for 2014.
Sy studied feng shui in Malaysia for more than four years. She got her certification seven years ago and practiced feng shui reading since then. (Sunnex)
