ACTOR Sam Milby is not in a hurry to find new love and hopes that when the right woman comes, he will spend the rest of his life with her.

In a Cinema News interview aired over the weekend, the 30-year-old said that he is still single and very picky when it comes to choosing someone to date.

Sam said he has turned cautious when it comes to matters of the heart.

"Love is something you have to be picky about. You shouldn't settle when it comes to love. I won't settle and I have to really feel na in love ako. Hindi ako yung, 'pwede na ito, tingnan natin'. I want to really feel it,” he said.

The actor is open to the possibility of dating someone who is five years younger than him.

"There are a lot of beautiful faces in the business today. I appreciate them but not to the extend na liligawan ko. I can't date someone who is way younger than me," he said, adding he's looking for a wife material.

"That's what I'm looking at now, kung sino yung magiging next na karelasyon ko, I'm hoping the siya na talaga. Na ready na yun," he said.

The actor's last relationship was with actress Anne Curtis. He was also linked to actress Jessy Mendiola in the past.

Sam said that until now, Anne holds a special place in his heart. He said both of them learned things about love and life when they were still together.

He's thankful that they had an opportunity to work again on television and movies.

"It's so nice to work again with her, especially sa 'Dyesabel' kasi mas matagal yung pinagsamahan namin doon. Nag-start over again yung friendship namin," he said.

The Kapamilya talent added that he's happy for Anne and boyfriend Erwann Heussaff. He's also hopeful that he will find his happiness someday.

"For me, there's a reason for everything. It was hard for me after the break-up. For a while it was hard. I'm truly happy for her, for them," Sam said.

"I will always love her. We were together for quite a long time and she's someone I will always love. Kahit tumanda na ako, she will always have a special place in my heart. It's a different love," he said.

Anne and Sam will star in upcoming movie "The Gifted." (Sunnex)
