ACTRESS Jessy Mendiola is happy that ex-boyfriend JM de Guzman was given another shot in show business after admitting illegal drug use.

In a Cinema News interview aired over the weekend, Mendiola said that JM deserves this comeback because he's one of the finest actors of their generation.

And now that all is well, wag na lang natin balikan yung mga nangyari,” she said.

Jessy admires JM's strength to surpass what he went through in the past year, adding that she is open to working with the actor.

"He deserves to be back in showbiz. (To work in a project?) why not? It is still work and magaling siyang actor kaya gusto ko siyang makatrabaho."

To recall, JM clarified on his "The Buzz" interview that Jessy was never the reason for his vices. But he said his drug use led to their breakup.

Meanwhile, it seems Jessy has truly moved on as she's reportedly in a relationship with Colombian suitor Sebastian Gasca.

The actress said Sebastian flew back to the country last month and she was able to introduce him to her parents.

Jessy met Sebastian, 19, during his short vacation in Boracay. They were then reunited when he followed her to Jeju Island in South Korea.

The ABS-CBN talent said she's happy with how things are going and doesn't mind the distance between them.

"Sabi niya every two or four months, i-try niya na mag visit kasi may work siya doon. Maayos yung huli naming pag-uusap." (Sunnex)
