MOR Pinoy Music Awards announces winners

TEEN King Daniel Padilla and Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo were hailed Male and Female Artists of the Year at the 2014 MOR (My Only Radio) Pinoy Music Awards.

Held Friday evening at the Mall of Asia Arena, the annual event was organized by MOR 101.9, the FM radio station of ABS-CBN, to honor the best artists and songs of the past year.

The two artists graced the event and personally accepted their awards.


Aside from the coveted Artist of the Year title, Padilla also took home the Album of the Year trophy for "DJP" album, which was released early last year.

Meantime, comedian Vice Ganda bagged the Phenomenal Artist of the Year title and Best Novelty Song for "Boom Karakaraka".

Male Artist of the Year: Daniel Padilla
Female Artist of the Year: Sarah Geronimo
Phenomenal Artist of the Year: Vice Ganda
MOR Rock Icon: Parokya ni Edgar
Dance Hit of the Year: "Kahit Na" by Toni Gonzaga
Best Collaboration of the Year: Sam Concepcion, Tippy Dos Santos and Quest for "Dati"
Best OPM Revival: "Pusong Bato" by Jovit Baldivino
Best Novelty Song: "Boom Karakaraka" by Vice Ganda
Breakthrough Artist of the Year: Jireh Lim
Best New Artist: Garth Garcia Best Regional Song: "Balay ni Mayang" by Kyle Wong and Martina San Diego
Best Kantemercial: Companero Brandy

Singer/songwriter Ogie Alcasid was also handed the MOR OPM Achievement Award for his talent and contributions in the music industry.
