CEBUANO actor Matteo Guidicelli does not want to speak much about his rumored romance with Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo, as a way to respect her parents, but reiterated he is a "very happy man."

Earlier last week, latest photos of Geronimo and Guidicelli circulated on the internet. This time, the two were seen having dinner with the actor's non-showbiz friends.

In an interview with the actor during the "iShine Talent Camp" press launch Monday, he confirmed that they went out for dinner he had already introduced the singer to his friends.

"Okay naman ang lahat. Nag dinner lang kami, simple. I'm happy also that slowly she's being exposed to different people and she's enjoying more. Dapat may dinner and bonding with everybody," he said.

Guidicelli believes that Geronimo deserves to go out more and explore different things especially that she is turning 25 next month.

"Sarah's is 25 and she can do what she wants to do. She's very blessed and she deserves it all, she deserves to be happy and she deserves what she wants to do," he said.

But when it comes to their close relationship, Guidicelli is still keeping his silence so as not to complicate things.

"I would love to talk and be honest but I also like to respect her parents. I will just keep quiet. I don't want to involve work with it and whatever Sarah and I have, I want to keep it personal. I don't want to involve work because it will make things a little bit confusing. If I could (talk), I would," he said.

"Everything is okay naman. We're not thinking about saying anything, about denying or not denying. We're just having fun, live life to the fullest and enjoy everything, yun ang importante," he added.

The entertainment press noticed Guidicelli is the only suitor of the Pop Princess who easily got the approval of Geronimo's parents.

To recall, Geronimo attended the actor's birthday celebration and triathlon competition. She was even accompanied one of her parents.

The actor believes that it is important that they get the nod of their parents as a way of showing respect to their families.

"As long as we respect the parents, that's the most important thing. Do not do anything outside of that, not to be rude, basta everything is good," he said.

"Everything is okay (between me and Sarah's parents). I don't want to speak for them but I'm very thankful that they allow in Sarah's circle. Anybody would be very, very lucky to be with Sarah. She's a wonderful person, very true, very honest and with a pleasing heart," he added.

As to comments that Geronimo looks happy and contented now, the actor said: "Mas masaya ako, mas proud ako. I don't think it's because of me, I think it's her. She deserves all the credit, she's 25 and she just wants to be an independent woman now. She's growing and I'm so proud of her."

Guidicelli is also grateful for the positive feedback they received from fans and supporters. He is hoping that everyone understands why they decided to keep silent on the real status of their relationship.

The actor said that his main concern will always be Geronimo.

"Sarah and I are very, very happy and we appreciate all the positive comments, but I don't want to divulge too much because I want to respect her parents. Maybe in the future, when the time is right."

When one reporter asked if he only has good and clear intentions with the singer, a beaming Matteo replied: "Sobrang linis! Mas malinis pa sa linis!" (Sunnex)
