MARJORIE Barretto reacted to a remark made by lawyer Ferdinand Topacio, counsel of Claudine Barretto, about the actress' eldest daughter Danni.
On early Thursday, the actress-politician uploaded a screen shot of Topacio's post on photo-sharing app, Instagram.
"Year of the Horse nga pala. This could be Danni Barretto's year...," a post supposedly posted by Topacio on Twitter read.
Marjorie countered: "What were you trying to insinuate Atty. Topacio?
The said post was followed by a screen shot of an audio recording entitled "Atty. Topacio: Ba't 'di na lang sina Marjorie at Greta ang pinatay online?"
The content of the said recording was an interview with Topacio by broadcast journalist Erwin Tulfo on the death hoax of his client, Claudine, which circulated on the internet.
"What exactly do you mean?" Marjorie initially wrote. She said the lawyer is "overstepping."
"Are you insinuating Atty. Topakcio that Gretchen and I did that? I wouldn't waste energy on plotting evil against her. I am busy with my children. It's your camp who came out with that drama to get people to talk about your client who is too close to you [sic]."
She said that it was too much to drag Danni, Gretchen or her name in the issue.
"But to insult my daughter? And to say sana si Gretchen o si Marjorie na lang ang pinatay sa online.... You are over stepping. How long have you known Claudine Atty Topakcio? 1 or 2 years? We have known her since she was born. Stay put as her lawyer for her cases... But don't touch on me and especially any of my children [sic]."
Topacio, for his part, posted this message in response to Marjorie's Instagram posts.
All I can say is if you can dish it out, you must be able to take it as well. Ganun lang po ang buhay.??????
