VICE Ganda declined to fan speculations that Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) rookie Terrence Romeo was his boyfriend.

In an interview with "The Buzz" on Sunday, Vice said he neither confirmed nor announced romance with Romeo. He said they are friends.

"Never akong nagpangalan. I never clarified, I never admitted, I never confirmed anything, I never said na we were together, wala akong tahasan at direktang sinabi na Terrence Romeo. Wala akong sinabing masama sa kanya and I will never say anything ill about him," he said.

The comedian added: "Magkakilala kami at magkaibigan kami hanggang kahapon, nung nalaman ko yung (interview)."

Romeo, who plays for PBA team Global Port and former star of the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws, recently told sports website that he had no relationship with Vice.

"Sana matapos na 'yung isyu na 'yan dahil paulit ulit naman na hindi katotohanan! Isang multo yan ng imahe ko na gusto ko nang mabura totally,” the cager said.

After the release of the online article, Vice tweeted: "Knowing you I don't think you'd ever say that. Thanks for the call and clarification. I appreciate!"

"Tinawagan niya ako to clarify and apologize for what he said. Kung ano yung nasabi nila. And I felt sorry for him, kasi napakinggan ko yung podcast, naawa ako kasi parang napaglaruan sila nung nag-interview,” Vice said.

"Sabi ko sa kanya I never had any doubt that it will come from your mouth. I know na hindi siya nanggaling sa bibig mo. It was spoonfed. Ibinigay sa kanya. Wala ng nagawa...naawa din ako kasi napressure."

Vice maintained his respect to Romeo’s father, William, who refuted claims that his son was in a romantic relationship with the comedian.

"I respect him. Nauunawaan ko na may mga bagay na hindi nauunawaan kaya uunawain ko na lang para maiwasan and di pagkakaunawaan,” he said.

Right now, Vice doesn't hide the fact that he's hurting and cried bucket of tears over what transpired in the past few days. The comedian recently confirmed his break up with a mystery guy.

"Hindi naman ako manloloko ng tao and I'm so not okay, but I don't have any negative words to say about them. Gusto kong ipagtanggol yung sarili ko pero ayoko na may taong masaktan at mapahiya pag lalo ko pinagtanggol ko ang sarili ko. Ayokong manakit ng tao na naging mahalaga sa akin. Ayoko manakit ng kaibigan,” he said.

"Whatever they say about me, kung ano man ang gusto nilang iparating sa akin, nasa kanila yun. Ako na lang ang masasaktan at hindi na ako mananakit."

The television host added that he's smiling now not because he's happy, but he's "smiling because I'm strong." (Sunnex)
