ACTOR Coco Martin said his leading lady, Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo, has matured over time both as a person and as an actress.

The two ABS-CBN talents will top bill upcoming Star Cinema movie "Maybe This Time" along with Ogie Diaz and Ruffa Gutierrez.

During the grand press launch of the said flick, Martin shared that he was surprised with how Sarah developed as an actress.

He said the singer is different now compared to their first television project in 2010 entitled "1DOL". He said the actress is more expressive now and open with her craft.

"Dati medyo may ilangan pa kasi first time namin na mag work.

Martin added that he enjoyed working with Geronimo because they have many things in common. They are both passionate with their respective craft and driven by their love for their families.

Yung maturity as an actress nakikita ko na kay Sarah dito," he said.

"Pareho kami. Napaka humble niyang tao," he added.

Martin meanwhile said "Maybe This Time" is the first light movie he did in show business and the first project where he is not part of the pre-production team.

The actor he is happy with what Star Cinema presented to him and the cast and crew of the film.

"First time ko gumawa ng ganito ka light na pelikula na ma-inlove ka pero may bali yung storya. From the very start very excited ako. Nagdadasal talaga ako na sana maganda yung kakalabasan," Coco said.

Directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng, "Maybe This Time" will open in cinemas nationwide starting May 28. (Sunnex)
