ACTOR Alden Richards shared he had a blast working with Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera in tv series "Carmela".

As the soap will air its final two episodes this week, the 21-year-old actor shared he still could not believe that the project he grew to love will end soon.

"Ang bilis. I didn’t expect it to be that quick, parang yesterday lang nabigay sa akin yung project and now it is concluding. It was an honor and I had a blast doing ‘Carmela’ and sobrang laking natulong sa career ko," Alden said in an interview during the PEP List 2013 last Tuesday evening.

He added: "I learned a lot from Marian, from all the actors I worked with in the soap, and our director Dominic Zapata."

Among all the scenes they did together, Richards shared that the intimate beach shoot is the most unforgettable one.

Before taping the said scene, he shared that they did talked about how to execute it, how to do it right and how to protect Rivera as his leading lady.

"Never kong na-imagine na I'll be doing that with Marian. In how many lifetimes would you be able to work with a Marian Rivera, the primetime queen of GMA. 'Yun ang pinaka-memorable sa akin.”

"We talked on how we will treat the scene. Everything was planned, but more than that, andoon yung dedication namin sa scene kaya maayos naman siyang lumbas," he said.

Richards said he wants to work again with Rivera in the near future.

Meanwhile, the actor also answered some rumors that the soap was cut short because of low ratings.

He clarified that his mother network only planned a 13-week program and they were even extended for another three weeks.

"It's not true that we were cut off because of bad ratings. Kasi sa GMA yung timeline ng soaps ay 13 weeks lang, just for one season and lucky pa nga kami na na-extend kami for three more weeks. That’s already an achievement from the soap, coming from the regular showing lang talaga," he said.

Richards said they are thrilled with how the soap went and thankful for the warm reception of the viewing public.

As for his next project, the young actor shared that he's doing a new movie with co-Kapuso talent Aljur Abrenica.

The film, which is about revenge and betrayal, will be released in cinemas third quarter of this year. (Sunnex)
