ALEX Gonzaga "friend-zoned" rumored suitor, comedian Ryan Bang.
Before the new season of "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB) kicked off on Sunday, Sun.Star and other entertainment press caught up with Gonzaga and the rest of the hosts of the reality program.
The 26-year-old comedienne/host confirmed that Bang is indeed wooing her but said that she can only offer friendship to the 22-year-old comedian.
She clarified that they are "very close" now because they work together in late night gag show "Banana Nite."
Gonzaga also believes Bang is fond of her because she's funny on and off camera.
"Wala siyang formal (courtship). I think seryoso siya, but talagang the door is closed," she added.
The Kapamilya talent also clarified that older sister, television host Toni Gonzaga, is not mad at the comedian for courting her.
She said Toni is just protective of her but things are okay between the comedian and her sister. As a matter of fact, they are both part of weekend program "Home Sweetie Home."
Natatatakot raw siya," she said.
Kidding aside, Gonzaga said she's not yet ready for romance. "Right now everything is closed. I think I'm not ready for a relationship."
As for her other suitors, Gonzaga said she doesn't want to assume anything and will just focus her time in her career.
I think I am not yet ready for a relationship. Ngayon talagang hindi ko po muna ini-entertain," she said.
Meanwhile, Big Brother surprised the viewers on Sunday night when he announced that Gonzaga is one of the 18 new housemates of the reality game show, who will stay in the famous house for up to 100 days.
Gonzaga, who was clearly hiding her surprise while inside the confession room, tried to lighten the mood and even called herself as a "host-mate" of Big Brother. She was told that she will be treated as a regular housemate.
Big Brother said he decided to send the TV host inside the house for her to experience how it feels being isolated from the outside world.
"PBB All In" airs weekdays on ABS-CBN and hosted by Toni Gonzaga, Robi Domingo, Bianca Gonzalez and John Prats. (Sunnex)
