ACTOR Dennis Trillo revealed that he is more guarded now when it comes to matters of the heart.

In an interview with the Kapuso actor at the PEP List 2013 event, the 32-year-old said he's single for more than a year now after his relatively discreet break-up with actress Bianca King.

Trillo used to date former beauty queen Carlene Aguilar (they have a son named, Calix), and actresses Cristine Reyes and Jennylyn Mercado.

The actor is also being paired with comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas by actor/host Aga Muhlach.

Trillo said he's not closing his doors to anyone because anything is possible when it comes to love. He said that he is also looking for someone who can always be herself, honest and loyal.

Nangyayari yan," he said.

Meanwhile, the "My Husband's Lover" main man said he is happy that all is well between him and his son's mother. Trillo and Aguilar had a bitter break-up in 2007.

The actor shared his priority now is to spend more time with his kid and establish a healthy father-son relationship with Calix.

Marami kaming bonding moments."

When asked if Calix is already asking if he's dating anyone, the actor replied: "Tinatanong niya ko minsan kung may girlfriend ako. Pero sabi ko wala, 'I don't have a girlfriend.' Sabi ko wala akong time and ayokong mawalan ng oras sa kanya kung sakaling magkakaron ako ng girlfriend," he ended.

Trillo will soon appear in Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival entry "The Janitor". (Sunnex)
