COMEDIAN Vice Ganda said all is well between him and Senator Nancy Binay after the two met in a recent non-showbiz event.
The "Gandang Gabi Vice" host surprised his legion of fans when he uploaded a "selfie" with Binay on image-sharing application Instagram. The photo had a caption "love love love".
Vice shared they both attended the birthday party of non-showbiz friend Bernand Cloma, who initiated the meeting.
"Nagkita kami sa birthday ni Bernard Cloma. Andoon siya and nauna siyang dumating sa akin kasi pareho naming kaibigan si Bernard, pareho kaming bisita," he said in a Cinema News interview aired over the weekend.
He continued: "Nung dumating ako, nilapit siya sa akin. Kumakain nga siya tapos inistorbo nga siya ni Bernard. Tapos pinakilala sa akin. Sabi niya, 'Hi Vice, nice to meet you'. Sabi ko, 'Nice to meet you po.’"
The two then sat on the same table.
"Okay naman siya, wala naman kami masyadong pinag-usapan kasi hindi naman kami (naging) super close. Nagkasama lang kami sa isang event. Mabait naman...pleasant. Walang awkward (moment) and maganda yung mood kasi,” he said.
Earlier, Vice made a testy comment in May last year when asked about his preferred position if ever he decides to run for public office.
"Gusto ko yung President ako agad. Yung wala kang background pero mataas agad. Parang mga pulitiko lang ngayon, walang background pero sila tatakbo," he said, referring to the daughter of Vice President Jejomar Binay whose only experience in politics was being executive assistant to her parents who are both former mayors of Makati City.
"Wala akong sinabing masama and nag-set lang ako ng example kasi totoo namang wala siyang political background pero senador agad. So malay ninyo pwede din ako sa ganoon," he said.
Binay placed fifth in the senatorial polls with more than 13 million votes. (Sunnex)
