ACTRESS/host Ruffa Gutierrez enjoys working again with her ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz in spite of their separation few years ago.

Gutierrez recently appeared in one episode of "Home Sweetie Home," Cruz's weekend sitcom with leading lady Toni Gonzaga.

In an interview with the former beauty queen, Gutierrez confirmed that she will shoot another episode by the end of this month and her character will be a recurring one in the program.

She said she was surprised when she received an offer from ABS-CBN to play Cruz's ex-girlfriend in the show.

"Since our little scandal broke out, hindi na kami nakapagtrabaho together. I'm very happy that ABS-CBN, sila mismo yung nag offer sa akin na gawin 'yung role. Natuwa naman ako kasi okay na pala sa kanila," she said.

Gutierrez shared that she reconciled with Cruz two years ago and they are genuine friends off camera. They would usually bump into each other in non-showbiz events, she said.

"Little do the public know ay magkaibigan kami ni Lloydie. Matagal na yung nangyari sa amin. We talk once in awhile and nagkikita kami sa mga gatherings. For me to be able to work again (with him) on a project, I'll be very honored because he's a very good actor," the TV host said.

"Hindi naman lahat ng nangyayari sa amin behind closed doors ay nalalaman ng publiko. Even before we work together in 'Home Sweetie Home,' nagkaayos na kami. All's well that ends well, happy lahat," she said.

When asked on her first taping day in the comedy series, Gutierrez said she had a pleasant experience and got along well with the rest of the cast and crew.

On working opposite Cruz again, she recalled: "Nagbibiruan kami, nag-offer siya ng chicharon. Talagang magkaibigan kami. Masasabi ko na napakaganda ng working relationship namin. I'm very comfortable with him."

The two first worked together in the 2009 series "I Love Betty La Fea."

Now that they've started working together again, Gutierrez clarified no romance will be rekindled between them as they have already moved on from their past romance.

"Iba kami noon, iba na din kami ngayon. Siyempre kailangan respetuhin din natin yung kanyang karelasyon. Napakabait naman sa akin (ni Angelica Panganiban, Cruz's current girlfriend)," she said.

"I respect relationships and ayaw ko na isipin din ng karelasyon niya ngayon na andyan ako, na nakikisingit. Friends na lang," she ended.

Aside from "Home Sweetie Home," Gutierrez will be part of "It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez," her family's new reality series which will air on E! (Sunnex)
