QUEEN of All Media Kris Aquino gets emotional upon seeing photos of sons James Jr. (also known as Bimby) and Joshua with ex-husband James Yap.

In Monday's episode of "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," the television host revealed she purposely left the country on James' birthday (February 15) so that Bimby will focus his time with his father.

Aquino shared that while she was in Singapore with stylist and good friend Liz Uy, her son's nanny emailed her photos of the reunion between the three and she can't help but shed some tears.

"I didn't want to be here on the 15th because I didn't want Bimb to feel na nasa bahay ako. Baka maging hadlang yung desire niya na umalis at batiin si James," she said.

"When the yaya was sending me all the pictures nung silang tatlo na magkakasama, nung tiningnan ko silang lahat, naiyak ako sa totoo lang. It took so long to reach this point for both of us. And it took me so long to feel comfortable already," she added.

According to Aquino, it helped that James texted her last February 14 to greet her a happy birthday, even in the existence of a Permanent Protection Order from the Court. She said James' message was a validation that she's doing a great job of raising her two sons.

"Nagulat ako kasi on my birthday, James actually texted and greeted me. Sinabi lang niya na "Happy birthday Kris. Thank you for being the best mom to Bimby. Sabi ko, ' Alagaan mo yung dalawang bata and please wag mong awayin kasi building bridges to ngayon," she said.

"All it took was for James to acknowledge na naging mabuting nanay talaga ako kay Bimb. And nung binigay niya sa akin yun, handang handa akong bigyan sa kanila na magkaroon sila ng magandang relationship," she said.

Aquino said there's already acceptance from all parties and she's move on from past heartache. (Sunnex)
