ACTOR Xian Lim sent flowers to young actress Bea Binene, days after he apologized for the controversy created by his "joke" on a Kim Chui impersonator during the live airing of "Banana Nite" last January 31.

In an Instagram post, Binene shared a photo of the bouquet of flowers and thanked Xian for his gesture.

"I was surprised when I saw this when I got home. Thank you, @xianlimm! You don't need to give me these, but still, you did. God bless you!" she wrote.

Earlier, Xian called leading lady Kim Chiu's impersonator several times as Binene.

Although he said he did not mean to offend anybody, the fans, especially netizens, find his actions rude and disrespectful.

He apologized to the fans and "Banana Nite" director Edgar "Bobot" Mortiz revealed the "Bride for Rent" actor also asked for Kim's impersonator's mobile number to personally say sorry to her.

After articulating his apologies, Xian remained mum on his booboo. (Sunnex)
