KAPAMILYA actor Xian Lim revealed he made a promise to leading lady Kim Chiu that he will always be there for the Cebuano actress.

In a recent interview with the two, Kim shared she's wary of making friends again but Xian made sure to reach out to her. Eventually he became her closest guy confidante in show biz.

"There's a promise that we will always be there for each other and hindi kami gagawa ng masama sa isa't isa," Xian explained.

He added that it was not a deliberate thing to be close friends with Kim, but he felt comfortable in the company of the actress.

"There's a certain connection na hindi lang 'hi, hello' or acquaintance, but more on a personal side, nakikilala ko siya. It just happened. Hindi naman natin mapipili yung tao na yun, na ito okay ito," he said.

Xian also disclosed that he's friends with Kim's siblings and even her father.

The actor said, "Nung pumupunta ako sa kanila for some reason I felt warm, I felt at home pag nasa bahay nila. Okay sila, mabait 'yung pamilya niya and nirerespeto din nila ako."

"Dumating kasi ako sa point na nakilala ko 'yung buong pamilya niya. Dumating ako sa point na naiintindihan ko 'yung mga kapatid niya, nakakausap ko 'yung tatay niya. So I think that's one reason why she's comfortable with me," he said.

To recall, Xian was with Kim in San Jose, Mindoro when the latter reunited with her father after five years of not seeing each other. She even revealed that up until now, Xian would often text her dad.

Meanwhile, Xian clarified that he never felt pressured when asked by the entertainment press on the real status of their friendship.

The ABS-CBN actor said as long as they're both happy, he's fine with that. He added that there's perfect time to discuss this kind of thing.

"Since lagi kaming tinatanong, we just brush it off na lang," Xian said.

"In time naman malalaman ng lahat 'yung status or kung anong gustong malaman nila. Pero I don't think this is the perfect time na magsalita kung anong man 'yung nangyayari. We won't be selfish about it and more than happy to share it with you guys. We really want to focus and work hard," he ended. (Sunnex)
