Metrobank Foundation celebrates 35 years of launching dreams

THE Metrobank Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company, will celebrate its 35th anniversary to be highlighted by the conferment of the Award for Continuing Excellence and Service (Aces) and the presentation of Partners in Empowerment, Advocacy and Commitment to Excellence (Peace) at 5 p.m. of January 29 to be held at Le Pavillon, Metropolitan Park, Pasay City.

The Award for Continuing Excellence and Service (Aces) is given to past winners of the Metrobank Foundation’s Search for Outstanding Teachers (SOT), Metrobank Art & Design Excellence (Made), Search for the Country’s Outstanding Police Officers in Service (Cops), and Search for The Outstanding Philippine Soldiers (Tops) who have continued to excel in their respective professions, thereby raising the bar of excellence by their invaluable contributions and serving as inspirations among their peers and in their respective communities as well.

Meanwhile, the Partners in Empowerment, Advocacy and Commitment to Excellence (Peace) award is given to recognize institutions from the academe, business, non-government and socio civic organizations, national and local government units, and diplomatic communities whose commitment in uplifting the lives of the least in society and in recognizing the best of the Filipinos mirrors that of the Foundation.


His Eminence Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle will serve as the guest of honor for the anniversary celebration.

Considered as one of the leading corporate foundations in the country, the Metrobank Foundation is engaged in various social development programs in education, visual arts, journalism, health care and calamity assistance.

It has redefined the concept and practice of corporate social responsibility, transforming its programs and grant-making initiatives into sustainable investments on human development and nation-building. (PR)
