318 in Surigao City infected with STIs

THE Surigao City Health Office said 318 persons in the city were infected with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) last year, 16 more than in 2013.

Topping the list for 2014 is bacterial vaginosis, with 185 cases, slightly lower than the 188 cases in 2013, according to Jessica Nepomuceno, social hygiene clinic nurse at the CHO.

Duterte sends condolence on Lee Kuan Yew’s death

Troops clash with NPA in New Bataan

GOVERNMENT troops clashed Tuesday with communist rebels in a town in Compostela Valley. No soldier was wounded in the fighting in Barangay Andap, New Bataan, Lt. Vergel Lacambra, spokesperson of the Army's 10th Infantry Division, reported.

The New People’s Army (NPA) fighters left behind an improvised landmine, rifle magazines, two-way radios and personal belongings, Lacambra said.

3 nabbed in separate drug busts

2 bodies dumped in Davao City

THE Chief of Sasa Police Station said the death of the main suspect in the murder of former Public Attorney's Office (PAO) lawyer Emmanuel Acuna has dealt a big blow to the overall resolution of the case.

Bulacan prosecutor wounded in ambush

Guv gives P100,000 each to 38 centenarians
