Junior NBA regional selection camp up in Iloilo

BOYS and girls aged 10 to 14 years old will undergo skills, aptitude and endurance challenges, vitals tests, basketball drills and skills tests, and learn the Jr. NBA core values of Sportsmanship, Teamwork, positive Attitude and Respect (Star) at the Jr. NBA and Jr. WNBA Regional Selection Camp Iloilo slated on March 15-16 at the Ateneo de Iloilo campus.

The players who register the highest scores will be chosen on the first day and will return the following day for more drills and scrimmages.

Up to eight boys and four girls will be selected on March 16 to be part of the Jr. NBA National Training Camp in Manila to be held from April 25 to 27.


Ten standout boys and four girls will be selected at the National Training Camp and will be named as the 2014 Jr. NBA and Jr. WNBA Philippines All-Stars, who will be sent for an authentic NBA experience trip to the United States later this year.

Mentors include coach Christofer Summer, PBA stars Jojo Lastimosa and Jerry Codiñera, Perlas Pilipinas, Ish Tiu, and Melissa Jacob.
