ILOILO City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog has ordered the immediate closure of two business establishments for having no business permit.

Mabilog said the Basil Talabahan along the diversion road, although sitting on a private lot, has not applied for a business permit and locational clearance to legitimize its operation.

Also, the Wild Cat, a disco resto bar along the Muelle Loney stretch, has no business permit since its operation last year, he added.

Mabilog also said that the river restaurant of barangay captain Jolly Penasales, as well as the car wash and wastewater facility in the city will be jointly demolished before the end of March.

Other illegal structures along the Iloilo River set for demolition are the Hartman Dialysis Center and Nenas Manokan along the Gen. Luna and Jalandoni Bridge.

The dialysis center has no license to operate and its management is starting to transfer to a new site at Solis Delgado Street, while the Department of Tourism regional office is planning to build a tourist information center at the site to be vacated by Nenas Manokan. (LCP)
