THE Iloilo City Government is preparing to present the new and revised schedule of zonal valuation of real properties to the City Council for approval and confirmation.

Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said the new schedule of zonal valuation was agreed after three public hearings and a roundtable discussion with representatives of the local business sector.

The move is in compliance with the Department of Finance order for new schedule of real property taxes that cover land, building and machineries.

Mabilog said he is positive the City Council will approve the new schedule of real property taxes.

Aside from the business sector, barangay leaders, homeowners in subdivisions, education leaders including the parents teachers association, and other concerned individuals with properties participated in the public hearings held last week.
