THE Iloilo City Market Committee verified Thursday, August 7, the exact owners and occupants of the meat section located at the market’s groundfloor.

Committee member and city legal officer Dan Dinopol said they were able to determine the legitimate vendors occupying the stalls and tables at the market.

The meat section has 172 tables, but only about 50 percent were occupied.

Dinopol said the market vendors must comply with all the documents to legitimize their stall ownership.

There were several times when a stallholder with bad intentions uses the awarded stall for personal interest by subleasing the same with huge profit, he said.

Dinopol said they will conduct more visits at the market stalls and sections to determine the legitimate vendors who have upgraded and complied with the store deficiencies.
