Dialogue set to solve water crisis

A DIALOGUE is slated Monday, May 5, between Iloilo City officials and water suppliers to solve the misunderstanding on the standing accounts payable of some P111 million of the Metro Iloilo Water District (MIWD) from the bulk water suppliers in the city.

City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog reiterated the threat of Flo Water headed by Dr. Rogelio Florete to cut off the water supply in MIWD franchise area, especially in the city on May 12, if the MIWD fails to pay any amount to the supplied bulk water.

Aside from Florete and Mabilog, the meeting will also be attended by Prime Water Resources, MIWD board of directors headed by Dr. Danilo Encarnacion, and City Government officials, and Senate President Franklin M. Drilon.
