P31.48-B investments up for Iloilo

SEVEN corporations have pledged a total of P31.48-billion worth of investments for the province of Iloilo.

The investors showed their interest during the "Iloilo Means Business" summit at the Intercontinental Hotel in Makati City on Wednesday.

Among the corporations who promised to invest are Palm Concepcion Power Corp., Global Business Power Corp. (P15.6-billion worth of coal power plant), Dream Engineering (P10-billion worth of solid waste energy project), Energy Renewables Asia Inc. (P1.2-billion worth solar farm), NV Vogt Singapore Pte. Ltd. (P500-million worth of solar farm), Intracare Inc. (P1-billion worth of tourism projects, including a cable car to Guimaras Island), and Double Dragon Properties Inc. (P1.4 billion for five city malls).


The businessmen's proposals target to help propel the local economy of Iloilo and the Philippines.
