ALL four Dinagyang judging areas in Iloilo City will be cleaned and flushed with water on the eve of January 24 by fire volunteers to reduce foul urine odor, said Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog.

Mabilog made the announcement after he received complaints of foul urine odor emanating from the performance areas along the Dinagyang parade routes.

He said flushing of the areas will be done in the evening since there are already Dinagyang activities and special events at daytime.

The city’s beautification program will be ongoing including cleaning of stages and surrounding areas.

The staging of Dinagyang Festival is set from January 25 to 26. (LCP)
