Krispy Keme opens store in Iloilo City

INTERNATIONAL doughnut store Krispy Keme opened its 59th store in Iloilo City, Philippines last Sunday at the SM City Iloilo to serve the needs of doughnut lovers.

The doughnut products aim to sate the palate of doughnut enthusiasts in the city and, at the same time, drive the local economy through hiring of local job applicants.

Krispy Kreme Chief Operating Officer Ma. Lana Marcaida said the company will also open its 60th store in Bacolod City on December 6 to be followed by stores in Cebu, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro before the end of 2014.


Marcaida said that what makes Krispy Kreme different from other doughnuts is its doughnut theater showing off the actual production of fresh doughnuts right before the eyes of customers and the special flavor different from the others.

Balikbayans will also find the prices of doughnuts as competitive by giving a discounted price on two dozens of assorted doughnuts.

The company also implemented a contest for the first customer to line up at the store an win a one year supply of original glazed doughnuts and 8oz signature coffee prize certificate; the second customer wins a six-month supply of doughnuts and signature coffee prize and the third customer wins a three-month supply of glazed doughnuts and signature coffee prize certificate.

The 4th to 100th customer wins a one month supply of doughnuts. The prizes are valid for dine in or take out of one dozen of doughnuts per week.
