PBA tickets running out

FANS of Purefoods Star Hotshots and Talk N' Text Tropang Texters will have to get their tickets now as organizers on Thursday bared tickets for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner's Cup 2015 game pitting the two popular teams on March 14 at the University of the Southeastern Philippines (Usep) are "running out."

Organizing ArkiQuest finance head Danilo Guevarra said, "The courtside tickets are almost sold out. Only the general admission tickets that cost P600 each are still available but it's also running out."

The courtside ticket is pegged at P1,500.

Guevarra guested at the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the NCCC Mall B3 Center Family Room on Thursday with ArkiQuest chair Hector Magno, logistics head Rameses G. Tancontian and event managers Iza Segura and Cath Diaz.

Tancontian said, "Be sure to get your tickets since only few are left."

Tickets are available at Helen's Pawnshop of Victoria Plaza Mall, Icon Arts at Gaisano Mall of Davao and KMS Lighting Ideas in Bo. Obrero.

He also said a series of events are lined up before the game.

"Gates will open as early as 12 noon. There will be a slam dunk contest, a basketball game of architects and an exhibition game between the City Mayor's Office (CMO) led by Mayor Duterte's executive assistant Christopher 'Bong' Go and Acer Columbia team. Come early so you can get pick a good seat," Tancontian said.

Guevarra added that part of the proceeds of the event will benefit their ongoing build-a-classroom project in Barangay Salumay, Marilog District for the Matigsalog children and the rest will also benefit their three architecture scholars at University of the Mindanao (UM).

Magno said an exciting game awaits Dabawenyos, saying, "Both teams are in good standings. I think Purefoods really want to win while Talk N' Text wants to beat Purefoods. Patayan talaga ito na laban."

The Talk N' Text Tropang Texters lead the current team standings with six wins and two losses followed by Meralco Bolts and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters sharing the second spot with identical 5-2 card. Purefoods, holding a 5-3 mark, occupies the third place in the 12-team conference.

Purefoods will arrive on March 13 and will hold a practice at Usep Gym at 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. while Talk N' Text will yet arrive in the afternoon.

Magno also thanked Dabawenyos for patronizing the past two PBA games they brought in the city, adding: "We are working on bringing Barangay Ginebra here either in July, August or November. We'll keep you posted."
