PRO 11 sportsfest ends

THE Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 sportsfest championship games end today in celebration of the feast day of Saint Peter the Apostle at Camp Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City.

Chief inspector Jedd Clamour, in a phone interview with Sun.Star Davao, said the sportsfest is also in line with the Physical Fitness Sports Development programs of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, table tennis, fun run and badminton events are entered in the sportsfest that officially opened last June 24.


It was highlighted by a parade with the participation of Police Provincial Offices, Davao City Police Office, 11th Regional Public Safety Battalion, National Support Units and Personnel of Regional Headquarters of PRO 11.

PRO 11 regional Director, Police Chief Superintendent Wendy Rosario, meanwhile, emphasized that each team should embody the spirit of sportsmanship and the values of unity, solidarity, and teamwork.

Rosario said awarding rites is set tomorrow.
