Proceeds of the event will be used for the establishment of nurseries for mangrove seeding to be a source of livelihood among areas in Barangay Baculin in Baganga, Davao Oriental and Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City.
The event is also part of MinDA's flagship program called MindaNOW! Nurturing Our Waters Program.

The top three finishers will receive medals from the event organizers.
Registration fee is pegged at P350 inclusive of singlet and race bib. Ticketing booths are located at Adidad Store 2nd floor Gaisano Mall of Davao, Ironvoyz Extreme KTV, Hotel Galleria, and MTS.
