THE Davao Durians Rugby Football Club (DDRFC) men's rugby team will compete in the upcoming 2014 Philippine National Games Rugby Sevens on May 17 at Nomads Sports Club in Parañaque, Philippines.

In an interview with Sun.Star Davao, DDRFC men’s team coach Rose Mae Lanticse said that DDRFC will compete for the first time in rugby sevens format against 15 teams all over the country.

“Target naming is to gain experience as a team kasi first time nila to play sevens. As a coach, gusto ko ma-expose ang talents sa Davao Durians and I am hoping na ma-select for national development team sa Philippine Volcanoes,” Lanticse said.

According to Lanticse, it will definitely be a tough game for the DDRFC men’s team but they will do their best to represent the city.

She also said they are currently looking for more female members who wish to learn the sport and join their team. (MDC)
