THE Davao Durians Rugby Football Club (DDRFC) rugby summer camp kicks off today at SOS Children’s Village (CV) Davao.

Rugby Development Officer Blessie Kate Delos Santos said that the rugby summer camp is DDRFC advocacy in teaching rugby football among the grassroots level.

“We are looking for more opportunities to reach out and spread the core values and the spirit of the game. Your community could be next,” Delos Santos said.

SOS CV and Barangay Matina Aplaya 75-A are the participating foundation and Barangay for the rugby summer camp.

A tournament is slated on April 27 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m among the participating teams right after the camp.

She added that more activities will be conducted for the months of April and May.

A rugby festival will take place on May 31 at Davao City National High School from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to conclude the month-long activities. (MDC)
