1,000 runners eyed for 2nd Run with the Titans

SOME 1,000 runners are expected to join the Run with the Titans Season 2, an anniversary and run for a cause of Team Titans Davao set on April 27, 2014 in an out-and-back course from SM Lanang Premier Fountain Court.

In a phone interview with Team Titans Davao president and race director Dr. Ricardo Audan, he said that the event will benefit the Matigsalog Children of Malikongkong and Hospice Palliative Care of Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).

“In our last year’s event, we gave some 400 customized backpacks with school supplies for the Matigsalog Children of Malikongkong at the same time we gave cash gifts to terminally ill patients in Hospice Palliative Care SPMC,” he said.


Audan said the event will feature 5k, 10k and 15k categories.

Registration fee for 5k is pegged at P100 inclusive of a race bib, P250 for 10k with race bib and Phoenix NBA Sports Bottle while a registration of P350 shall be paid for the 15k category inclusive of race bib, refreshments and finisher’s medal.

“We made sure that the run is affordable so that we will be able to serve our purpose which is to gather funds to help our beneficiaries. This is our way of helping them through the sport,” he said.

The Titans Davao organized run is part of the Davao City Summer Sports for Peace Festival and in cooperation with SM Lanang Premier, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Nakashin Davao International Inc., John Paul II College of Davao and Hundredfolds Industries Corporation. (MDC)
