300 riders slated to join Ciudades Cross Country race

AROUND 300 riders all over the Philippines will battle in the Ciudades Tierra Series Cross Country MTB Race slated on March 30, 7 a.m. at First Mindanao Industrial Park (FMIP) Block 1 Lot 8 Ciudades, Mandug.

In an interview with Sun.Star Davao, Co-organizer Davao XC-Mumho Riders Ferdie James Nervida said that riders from the cities of Butuan, General Santos, Panabo, Tagum and Manila will see action in the race including Davao City bets Team Rody-Pulong Duterte and Mumhu Riders who will compete in a six-kilometer man-made trail.

The Cross Country Olympics (Circuit) format event features Women's Open, Open/Elite and Age Group Categories: 50 years old and above, 40-49, 35-39, 30-34, 20-29 and 15-19.


He said that the top three finishers in the age group categories will receive cash prizes worth P4,000, P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
The top finishers of the Women Open will take home P3,000, P2,000 and P1,000 while bigger prizes are at stake for the Open/Elite category including P10,000 for the champion, P6,000 for the second placer and P4,000 for the third placer.

He added that all participating riders get a chance to win a brand new GT Bicycle during the raffle draw.

The Ciudades Tierra Series Cross Country MTB Race is in cooperation with Racefood, Kamikaze, 8a Performance and GT Bikes. (MDC)
