GINA Aclon of Admin/City Council booked a finals berth after topping the elimination round of the women's standard event of the Dachea Sportsfest chess tournament at NCCC Mall Food Cove Hall.

Aclon scored perfect five points while Lilibeth Villafuerte of the City Agriculturist Office placed second with 3.5 points followed by Cherie Marie Cruza of the Public Safety and Security Command Center (PSSCC) in third with three points.

The blitz category also opened yesterday pitting Diaz against Cosare in the first round, Cosare against Quijano in the second round and Quijano against Diaz.
