Serrano bags Dutba weekly title

ROMY SERRANO emerged champion in the Durian Tenpin Bowlers Association (Dutba) weekly tournament held Friday night at the NCCC Mall Bowling, Billiards and Bar (B3) Center lanes.

Serrano, with a handicap of 27, rolled a total of 866 pins after four games, beating Lito Balunan and Carlos Cruz who clinched the silver and bronze, respectively. Balunan, with a handicap of 21, garnered 822 pinfalls, while Cruz, with a handicap of 35, amassed 725 pinfalls.

Trailing behind were Rudy Alegria (657), Anthony Alegria (721), Nonoy Calida (689), Tess Gancio (640) and Russel Humangit (615).


Serrano, in an interview with Sun.Star Davao, said he's been consistent in practicing, saying in the vernacular: "I want to beat other tough player, that’s why I often practice."

He aims to beat top contender Boy Payca in the monthly finals round where he had just booked a seat. (MDC)
