THE Agro-Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines (AIFCP) Sailors and University of Mindanao (UM) Wildcats kept their unbeaten slate to take the lead of their respective groups in the resumption of the 2014 Davao City Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) Meet basketball competition at the UM Matina Gym Friday night.

The Sailors tamed the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Bulldogs, 89-70, in men's bracket A while the Wildcats trounced Davao Doctors Colleges, 100-56, in bracket B.

Agro, thus, posted a three-win, zero-loss card to lead their group while RMC dropped to a 1-2 card.

UM also grabbed its third straight win to retain the top post while DDC slumped at the bottom of the team standings with a 0-2 record.

Games will resume today with Agro gunning to stretch its winning streak against 1-1 DMMA College of Southern Philippines (DMMACSP) at 8:30 a.m. while 2-1 Jose Maria College (JMC) Kings battles 0-3 STI College at 10 a.m.

Women's No. 1 team UM Cardinals, meanwhile, plays Emar Human and Environmental College in Game 1 of their championship at 1 p.m. The Crisanthemum "Ining" Sarabia-coached Cardinals, which topped the single elimination with a clean 2-0 mark, enjoy a twice-to-beat advantage. A loss by Sarabia's wards will force a sudden death on Feb. 1 p.m.

In other games, 0-2 DDC collides with 0-2 Mats College of Technology at 2:30 p.m. while DMMACSP clashes against RMC at 4 p.m.

Champion teams in both men's and women's divisions will represent the city to the Southern Mindanao Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) Meet on Feb. 21 to 23 at Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex in Tagum City.
