Payca rules Dutba bowler of the year

BOY Payca emerged champion in the Durian Tenpin Bowlers Association (Dutba) Bowler of the Year 2013 tournament held Sunday night at the NCCC Mall Bowling, Billiards and Bar (B3) Center.

Payca pocketed the champion’s prize of P 40,000 while Rene Dalayon and Jojo Viray took home P 20,000 and P 10,000 for placing second and third, respectively.

Payca who had a handicap of 30, rolled a total of 1,621 pinfalls after the eight-game series while Dalayon, with a handicap of 13, hit 1,575 pinfalls. Viray, for his part, garnered 1,509 pinfalls with a 25 handicap.


It is interesting to note that Payca also ruled the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) Bowler of the Year 2013 championship recently.

Anton Alegria (1,507), Nonoy Calida (1,489), George Palayon (1,461), Francis Villa-Abrille (1,460), Gary Isla (1,460), Romy Serrano (1,445), Ramon Angeles (1,431), Raymond Nonato (1,412) and Robert Tepoot (1,395) were the other finalists.
