Ancheta takes oath as new Datba president

IAN Neil Ancheta led the new set of Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) officers and board of directors during their oath-taking ceremonies at the NCCC Mall Bowling, Billiards and Bar (B3) Center on Saturday night.

Ancheta, in his acceptance speech, said they will continue the programs of the previous administration and vowed to create more activities this year, especially for the youth.

“We need to work more, to achieve more. We start anew and move on for everybody. I believe in the capacities of our youth and I will make sure that we will continue our youth program so that we will have a representative in the National Youth Championship,” he said.


He succeeded past president Rameses Tancontian who said that holding the post last year was challenging, saying, "I faced a lot of difficulties in dealing with problems among the members and even administrative tasks, yet it all boils down to friendship and despite it all, we remained as a team."

Also inducted were executive vice-president Mayor Al Langkuno, external vice-president Ireneo Dalayon and internal vice-president Billy Magdale, secretary Crystal Christine Chavez, assistant secretary Maria Leah Martin, treasurer Tans Bernas, auditor Alex Verdera, business manager Diamael Usman, VP-membership Luzonio Dimaano, tournament director Thomas Convoy, assistant tournament director Paul Rabe, youth director Jose Daigdigan Jr., assistant youth director) Michael Aquiatan and PRO and Joshua Disuacido.

Family and friends of Datba officers and members were also in attendance. (MDC)
