MORE lawmakers are implicated in the pork barrel scam issue based on the affidavit and list issued by businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles to Justice Secretary Leila De Lima.

Although its reliability is still being contested by senators whom the pork barrel queen named in her list, this has succeeded in casting doubts nonetheless, given that principal whistleblower Benhur Luy has another side of the coin.

Is Napoles out to create confusions on how current proceedings on malversation of funds go?

In the Napolist, former and incumbent senators were named receiving either kickbacks or campaign funds from Napoles.

If, and only if, this Napolist is proven true, there are only fewer senators who people can bank on in prosecuting those who figured in the PDAF issue. Even fewer officials holding an office can serve Filipinos with honesty, which means setting aside personal gains for truthful service.

The people shouldn't be blamed if they lose the trust on some government officials, they've had enough of corruption.

It's not even new today, as corrupt practices have been on for several decades past.

This is seemingly a country ruled by thieves, the wrong people who are put into office by people who are desperate for a better life for them and for their children.

When corruption takes centerstage, poverty arises and gets worse. Again, the consequence when the wrong officials hold an office in the government.

After all this brouhaha, what's next? Will there be another issue on fund misuse sprouting from nowhere? Does Philippine Government need an overhaul?
