Due to the Rationalization Plan being implemented in the entire Department of Education (DEpED) system, 13 employees and detailed personnel in DepED RO XI bade goodbye to their friends and peers in a testimonial program in honor of them.

Letlet Aportadera worked in the Budget and Finance Division (BFD). In her more than 30 years being in the regional office, saying goodbye to people who became her second family is a bittersweet feeling.

Manning the security of all the personnel, Rex Cayot is a figure of a man determined to ensure that everybody’s safety is being assured. A well-loved personnel in the office, he will surely be missed by everybody.

A soft-spoken lass from the Planning Section, Felina De Leon is a retiree who seems does not look like as one as she is still young looking, maybe because she considers her work as her way of life.

A skilled driver and audio-video enthusiast who had one time acted in an indie film who is popularly known as Junie is Igmedio Diaz Jr. He was the driver of former Assistant Director and Director Susana Teresa B. Estigoy and briefly by the current Regional Director Gloria D. Benigno. He had been temporarily out of service for few months due to a life threatening illness which he survived and now enjoying his brand new lease of life.

A hard worker who can do almost everything to satisfy her clients and co-workers is Zenaida “Zeny” Jareno is a proud mother of intelligent, performer in academic and extra-curricular and highly successful children who now are working and living outside the country. She will be with them in the coming months.

A demure yet highly performing employee of DepEd who also does not look like a retiree is Fe Javison. A supportive wife and mother to her kids who are already professionals, Fe will be remembered by those who were hired in the region and whose application papers underwent her scrutiny.

An active member of the Secretariat of the Bids and Awards Committee, Evelyn Luna would be missed because of her dedication to her work especially in the planning office where she was one of the hardworking staff.

A quiet but hardworking personnel in the office who also ensured the security of its employees is Eddie Mullot. He is a man who would do everything for his family, co-employees and friends.

Nelson Ramitterre drove numerous regional directors, the latest was former Director Diamar P. Kadon. Director Kadon has only good words of appreciation for Nelson’s dedication and loyalty as the man manning the steering wheel. He had gained a lot of friends because of his genuine comradeship.

Another quiet but hardworking personnel who spent his last few years in DepED at NEAP Reproduction Center is Victor Timbal. He would be surely missed by those whom he had shared his life with.

The woman who knows all nook and cranny of her work is Ping Virtucio. A loving wife and mother to her husband and children respectively, Ping would be one of those who had really touched the lives of her co-workers who would be missing her much.

Dr. Ninie del Rosario became part of the regional office when she headed one of the components of NEAP, the Institute for Indigenous People’s Education (IIPE) where she has done everything to serve the needs of the indigenous people in the region.

He was not there during the day he would supposed to be one of the honorees because he had met the Creator ahead on his 59th birthday on the ill-fated 14th day of February but Ernesto ‘Nestor’ Flores had created an impact to those who became close to him as he was a troubleshooter. May he rest in peace.
