A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy was stabbed as he slept in his house in Davao City on Sunday.

Killed was Jhondhyle Mora Barrio of Excess NHA in Maa. Police arrested his stepfather, Crispel Perote Rosalita, 33, as a suspect.
Investigators said the boy’s 10-year-old sister Jhondishy, found her brother with a pillow covering his face and blood oozing from his neck.

The boy’s mother, Dissere Iway Mora, 28, said she was on her way home around 12:45 a.m. when she noticed Rosalita following her. She told the driver of their company service vehicle to turn back.

It was 2:10 a.m. when Dissere received a phone call that her son was killed.

Talomo Police Station commander Chief Inspector Alfredo Santillana said Rosalita could have killed the boy to get back at Mora. The couple separated last August, but Rosalita wanted a reconciliation.

When Dissere refused, Rosalita threatened to kill her or the boy, Santillana said.

Rosalita was arrested in his house around 6 a.m. yesterday. (ICT)
