Another drug suspect nabbed

POLICE arrested on Monday a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Toril, Davao City.

The suspect was identified as Michael Ramirez Ijara, 27, of Barangay San Miguel in Compostela town in Compostela Valley.

Initial investigation conducted by the Toril police showed that the suspect was arrested in Barangay Lubogan in Toril around 5:30 p.m. after he handed 17 sachets of suspected shabu to police officers who acted as poseur buyers.


Recovered from the possession of the suspect were P500 marked money and 17 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P25,000.

Chief Inspector Hamlet Lerios, newly-installed chief of Toril police, said the suspect has a pending case of the same offense in Compostela Valley.

The suspect, who will be facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is now detained at the Toril Police Station. (ICT)
