Man shot dead in Tugbok District

A 27-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead by an unidentified gunman at sitio Kawayan in Barangay Manambulan, Tugbok District in Davao City on Friday evening.

Police identified the victim as Leonard Bansag Paguirigan, alias Enad, 27, a motorcycle driver, resident of the same place.

Based on initial investigation conducted by PO3 Dexter Cadoyas of Tugbok police, Paguirigan succumbed to 22 gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.


Cadoyas said the cadaver of the victim was found on a grassy area in Manambulan around 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

The police learned the incident after a concerned citizen informed them on the matter. According to the residents in the area, they only heard several gunshots around 7:45 p.m.

As of this posting, Cadoyas said no one could identify the suspect as the incident happened away from the residential area.

The cadaver of the victim now lays at the Angel Funeral Homes in Calinan.

The police are already conducting investigation on the incident.
